Conflict
On Saturday night, loud blasts shook Kyiv’s central and eastern areas. Ukraine’s air force reported Russian missiles heading toward the city.
In Bravery, near Kyiv, a father and his 4-year-old son died in the attack, and three people were seriously hurt.
Russia claimed it destroyed 14 Ukrainian drones and four missiles over Kursk, where Ukraine is trying to advance after last week’s border fighting.
Over 76,000 people have been evacuated from border regions. Russia has started counter-operations in Kursk, Belgorod, and Bryansk. Ukraine says it has moved 20,000 people from Sumy because fighting is increasing.

Zelenskyy confirmed Ukraine is attacking Kursk, saying it proves they can fight for justice and pressure Russia. He also hinted at banning the Ukrainian Orthodox Church, which has links to Moscow.
