The Autumn Fair has begun this 12 October 2025 morning at the BSCIC Building in Tejgaon, Dhaka, organized by the Bangladesh Small and Cottage Industries Corporation (BSCIC). The fair will remain open to all every day from 10 AM to 8 PM until October 16.
As the crisp air of the approaching winter sets in, city residents are flocking to the annual Autumn Fair organized by the Bangladesh Small and Cottage Industry Corporation (BSCIC). The five-day event showcases hundreds of handmade craft items, including clay jewelry, embroidered quilts, and wooden toys, brought in by over 40 entrepreneurs.
The fair opened on 12 October 2025 at the BSCIC Bhaban in Tejgaon, Dhaka, and will run daily from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. until October 16. Admission is free for all visitors. The event was inaugurated by BSCIC Chairman Md. Saiful Islam.

What’s on Display
This year’s fair features a wide variety of products made from jute, batik, leather, bamboo, and wood. Bamboo Craft and Furniture, a participating company, is showcasing items such as bamboo-framed mirrors, mugs, clocks and Cloths. Tasu’s World Owner Tasnia Hasan shared, “I started this business and we now export to 5 different countries world wide.
Empowering Rural Women Entrepreneurs
At the fair, visitors can find batik, boutique, and cotton three-piece sets, along with wooden and fabric dolls. Women entrepreneurs from Srimangal are also presenting tea, bamboo tissue boxes, and other products. Deputy manager of BSCIC Irtiza Ahmed Salman shared” We want to represent our trained entrepreneurs to the people. They are highly qualified and skilled. They are now making different type of items and selling local and export world wide”

Clay and Leather Crafts on Display
Home Décor, a clay and terracotta craft business, is presenting handmade pottery at the fair. Founder Shahidul Alam, a graduate of the University of Dhaka’s Faculty of Fine Arts, said, “I have produced nearly 30 million taka worth of clay products. Besides pottery, we now create terracotta vases and interior décor items. Our products are sold internationally, including in the US, Germany, and the UK.”
The BSCIC Autumn Fair highlights the richness of Bangladesh’s traditional craftsmanship while promoting entrepreneurship, especially among women, and offering visitors a chance to explore and purchase unique handmade products.
