Gaza City is facing terrible destruction as Israeli attacks continue. Entire neighborhoods are being flattened, and at least 1,500 homes have been destroyed, according to civil defence. The UN chief, Antonio Guterres, has called for the attacks to stop and strongly condemned the bombing of Nasser Hospital, where at least 20 people were killed, including doctors, journalists, and patients.
Life in Gaza is getting worse every day. Children are seen collecting dirty drops of water from trucks because clean water is almost gone. Many people, especially the sick, old, and young, are dying from hunger. The UN warns that Israel is using starvation as a weapon of war, something that is against international law. Hospitals say more than 50 people have been killed in Gaza today, including 19 who were only trying to get food aid.
At the same time, Israeli forces are carrying out raids in the occupied West Bank. People have been arrested, schools invaded, and settlers continue to storm the Al-Aqsa Mosque. In Lebanon, two soldiers were killed when an Israeli drone exploded. The UN has extended its peacekeeping mission there until 2026.
Internationally, protests are growing. Rights groups are calling for bans on Israeli sports teams, comparing the situation to how Russia was punished after invading Ukraine. Meanwhile, 52 Palestinian students from Gaza have been allowed to travel to Ireland to continue their education.

The UN secretary-general has again asked for an immediate ceasefire, saying starvation and killing civilians must stop. He also warned that new Israeli settlements in the West Bank are destroying hopes for peace and breaking international law.
For people in Gaza, every day is now a fight for survival, with bombs, hunger, and fear all around them.
